Carissa’s is a beloved bakery in East Hampton that began as Carissa's Breads in 2011. Carissa's 221 Pantigo Road location opened in the Summer of 2019 as a 75 seat cafe, restaurant and bakery. Shepard Co were hired to design and build structural components, furniture and fixtures throughout the restaurant. This included custom white concrete sinks in both bathrooms, restaurant furniture, kitchen island and white cement countertops, full bar build out and floating shelving, as well as rolling bread racks and service carts. The scope of the work used a broad range of materials including steel, brass, corian, white oak and other wood species. Carissa’s was nominated in 2020 for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Design of Alternative Eating & Drinking Places.
